Victory Day is a national holiday in Bangladesh on 16 December. On this day in 1971, the Pakistani army surrendered to the Indo-Bangladesh in Dhaka high command, which ended on 9 per month in Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971 atrocities. General AAK Niazi, the officer in command of the Pakistani forces in East Pakistan troops surrendered to Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Aurora, Commander of the Allied troops.
This victory was achieved on the West Pakistani troops engaged in the nine-month genocide of East Pakistanis in what is now known as Bangladesh.
